Shangri La Farm

Shangrila Farm is the home of Elaine Taylor.  Elaine has been developing Shangri La Farm since May 2000. The farm was a real fixer-upper. Elaine's former companion Rick Pier helped her to fix up the farm for a number of years until  he moved on and married the love of his life.

Just one look around the house and the grounds was all it took to know of it's real potential.  It took alot of hard work and skill to create this "Heaven on Earth" and there is much more work to be done. The "new dream" has only just begun. After 20 years Elaine sees another level of magic and wonder unfolding. Come one and come all to participate and experience its greatness.   Elaine Welcomes anyone who wants to share her vision and help with its unfolding.and be a part of what the world seems to be lacking...A place where you can just be. Heal. Take in the forces of nature. Create . Build a better world for everyone peacefully and responsibly together.

Elaine has many skills.Growing produce, flowers, nursery stock, culinary and medicinal herbs, fruit trees and berries.  Along with her ablity to grow things she also is a master embroider, writer, teacher, herbalist, sailor,and artist.

The  gardens were planted and the aparies introduced and the vineyard established and the craft studio repaired and the wood working shop evolved with the constant watchful eye over the many seasons of change that she has experienced. She is so blessed to have the opportunity to share this beautiful place with everyone.Elaine  welcomes you and knows that you will see what they saw when they arrive at Shangri La Farm 20 short years ago

The mission statement  is clear. Llive a sustainable life. Grow and share nutricious organic food for ourselves and others. Keep livestock in a healthy and humane way. Offer others the opportunity to learn a sustainable lifestyle with educational programs, hands on training and help others to grow to their greatest potential. 

Our Business 

We grow the finest produce, herbs, berries, flowers plants, shrubs and trees. We have such wonderful animals such as horses,, geese, ducks, cats, dogs goldfish, chickens.  We started out looking for a place to keep the horses, but it became much more than that. It became our home. The place where everyone comes and never to leave.

We have a lovely farm store where we sell all of the high quality products that we grow. We make salves and lotions with our herbs...We also infuse our herbs in vinager and olive oils for extraordinary flavor in you cooking cusine.

We make a very effecttive natural insect repellent which smells reall good.

We are constantly learning new ways to improve what we do . We give workshops to share this knowledge with you.  You can request a program of our workshop and events by contacting us.

There are antiques, farm equipment , a vast collections of interesting artifacts and second han items, vintage clothing, books, tools and much more for sale. individuals are taken on a guided tour to select the items they may like to purchace. Then the negotiating begins... Its a fun and interesting way to do business. Give it a try sometime.
